This weekend has been Halloween and I'd love to speak a bit about this holiday in today's post.
As everybody knows, Halloween comes from the Celts, it means 'All Hallows Eve'. They celebrated the end of the death and the beginning of a new life. In that way, they believed in soul's inmortality, so the thought that when someone died, his or her soul took another body and on this day he or she returned to his old house to ask for food, so they had to give them what they were asking for. When we talk about Halloween we think about orange and black, well these are the colours of Halloween. We also think about ghosts, black cats, witches, skeletons, pumkins, etc.
Nowadays, children celebrate Halloween going house by house asking for sweets making a question: 'Trick or Treat', and with it they dare the people of the house. On the other hand, teenagers and adults go to the disco and they have fun dancing and drinking or spending time with friends.
I love Halloween because as I love Christmas, everytime is Halloween it is only 8 weeks to Christmas, so it is fantastic!!
I hope everyone has had a fantastic Halloween spending this holiday having fun with family or with friends.
Happy Halloween!
